IMPORTANT Change to CE REquirement

26 Oct 2020 5:48 PM | Amanda Adams (Administrator)

An important change has been made to the Continuing Education requirement that directly affects students that are testing or soon will be testing for the state licensing exam: the 15-hour CE requirement.

The OLD CE requirement is as follows:

All individual licensees are required to complete 15-hours of continuing education every two years on the even-numbered years.

These fifteen (15) hours must consist of:

  • Six (6) hours of required Risk Management courses:
Level 1 – Basic Risk Management: Avoiding Violations (3.0 hours)
Level 2 – Any Level 2 Risk Management course (3.0 hours)
  • Nine (9) hours of state-approved electives (Three 3.0 hours courses)

The NEW CE requirement is as follows:

  • Three (3) hours of the required Risk Management course:
Risk Management: Initial Contact to Accepted Offer (3.0 hours)
  • Twelve (12) hours of state-approved electives (Four 3-hour courses)

These changes have already been made on the PSI state licensing exam. So, if you are taking the state exam in the future, please be sure to know the the NEW CE requirements shown in red when you answer any CE questions.

If you have a copy of our "Alabama License Law in Plain English" textbook and would like an updated page for your book, please let me know via email and I will send a PDF of the corrected page to you.

Please let me know if you have any question and good luck on your state exam! You can do it!!!
